Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid, also known as hyaluronan or hyaluronate, is a transparent gel-like substance found in the body's connective tissues and dermal layer. Appropriately filling hyaluronic acid increases subcutaneous tissue volume, immediately filling depressions, wrinkles, and elevating facial contours.

  • A: The following individuals are not recommended for hyaluronic acid injections: pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants, children, those with hypertrophic scars, crab foot swelling tendencies, or a history of severe allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid.

  • A: Before hyaluronic acid injections, confirm expected results and post-care with the physician, ensuring the use of a complete and legal hyaluronic acid package. Local anesthesia is applied before injections, resulting in minimal pain during the procedure, typically just a slight pricking and swelling sensation. Ice packs can help reduce swelling, and avoid rubbing or massaging for three days after the procedure to prevent hyaluronic acid displacement. Swelling subsides in about a week.

  • A: Depending on individual physique and lifestyle, hyaluronic acid injections generally last around 9 to 12 months. Regular follow-up injections are recommended to reduce the quantity of hyaluronic acid injected and maintain a long-lasting beautiful appearance.

Possible immediate or delayed side effects include swelling, mild pain, itching, local edema or slight erythema, swelling or nodules at the injection site, discoloration in the treatment area. Most of these side effects are mild or moderate and persist for a short time (within a week). If adverse reactions persist for more than a week after injection, inform your physician and follow the prescribed treatment accordingly. Do not worry.
